Psi, Vital Energy, and Electromagnetism

Image
Despite decades of parapsychological research, psi phenomena have not yet been convincingly explained in terms of modern physics, which is probably one of the reasons why the scientific community is still mostly disregarding them. In the past, it has been theorized that psi is electromagnetic in nature, its transmission occurring through some sort of electromagnetic waves. That theory has been abandoned. It does not explain phenomena such as precognition and retrocognition, nor have any such waves been detected in tests involving, for example, e.g. telepathy or remote viewing. Reviewing both academic and non-academic resources, one finds substantial evidence for the electromagnetic nature of psi, in particular in mind-over-matter type experiments. Some particularly experienced martial artists can voluntarily produce electromagnetic fields with extraordinary characteristics. These include field amplitudes high enough to cause the electrical breakdown of air (i.e. >30 kV/cm), volt...

The Vital Force and Telekinesis

Image
The concept of vital energy is ubiquitous and its origins can be traced back to more than 4000 years ago. It has persisted through the centuries in Eastern cultures such as the Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Tibetan, Indian and Indonesian ones in the form of a mixture of philosophies such as Taoism, Confucianism, and Buddhism, and teachings such as alchemy, traditional medicine, and martial arts. Yoga and martial arts such as Chinese Chi Kung and Japanese Aikido are practiced throughout the globe, although often with their vital-force development component stripped off. The Chinese word for vital energy is usually transliterated as chi or qi, the Japanese one as ki, the Indian one as prana, and the Indonesian one as Tenaga Dalam. The meaning of the concept according to these philosophies and arts is quite broad, but it can be translated in English simply as energy. Indeed, it is used to designate modern science terms, such as thermal and electrical energy but it is also used for other so...

Eyeless Sight Bibliography

Image
Eyeless sight, seeing without eyes, and mindsight are just a few of the names given to that extraordinary variant of astral projection (OOB, OBE) or clairvoyance, which is incredibly useful to blind people and amusing to children. For the neophyte, it might be hard to believe, but the truth is that it has been taught in a number of schools around the world for decades and there is a large volume of bibliography about it that is continuously growing. Here is a list of related books and papers in chronological order. 1924, Jules Romains, Eyeless-Sight, A study of Extraretinal vision and the Paroptic Sense (see also this link ) Jules Romains, (a pseudonym of Louis Henri Jean Farigoule) (1885-1972) was a French writer who developed a method of teaching blind people to see without eyes. He demonstrated the phenomenon to a scientific committee that consequently awarded him a prize for his achievements. Unfortunately, he kept secret his method, but apparently, at least initially he use...

Altered States of Consciousness and Psi

Image
Psi phenomena such as clairvoyance / remote viewing (RV), precognition, and out-of-body experiences (OOB, OOBE) are usually associated with altered states such as hypnotic or psychedelic trance, dreaming, or even coma. But, is it really necessary to be in such a state to experience psi?   Most people rarely perceive psi in the normal wakeful state. Some laypeople do report experiencing psi during altered states, and there are some schools (e.g. Silva’s Mind Control ) as well as many books providing instructions for attaining psychic skills including some sort of meditation (a state often referred to by using the modern terms alfa-, theta, and delta brainwave patterns) as a fundamental technique. OOB manuals and schools (see e.g. Michael Raduga's website ) usually recommend entering a very deep hypnotic trance, typically achieved naturally immediately upon waking up or just before falling asleep. Monroe’s Institute even developed a series of CDs providing guided meditation enha...

Precognitive Dream Statistics

Image
When I started the Psioneirology project, I created an online database allowing anyone to record potential precognitive dreams. It did not reach a great popularity but it did alow me to study my own precognitive dreams. I had to remove the database after a total of 3.5 years of operation due to technical issues. In what follows, I present some statistics that I obtained after recording my dreams in the database for 9 months. During the period from 21/04/20 and 28/01/21 or 282 days, I recorded 360 dreams in my dream diary (1.3 per night on average), of which I copied only 92 in the database (i.e. about 1/4th of all). 54 % of them, i.e. 50 dreams turned out to be precognitive ones, which is equivalent to one precognitive dream every 5 days. I had recorded 20 of these 50 dreams before the outcome (marked with DR→O ❤ in the database, DR standing for dream record, and O for outcome), while I recorded the other 30 after it (marked with O→DR). There are two main reasons for this: I did n...

Which is the Optimal Mental State or Technique for Having Precognition and Can Everyone Experience it?

Image
There is quite a rich variety of mental states, including alertness, wakefulness, hypnagogia, meditation, trance, hypnosis, deep sleep, rapid eye movements (REM) sleep, lucid dreaming, out-of-body experiences (OOBE, OBE), and drug-altered states. One might ask, does extrasensory perception such as precognition and clairvoyance require getting into a particular one? Or is there any state especially favorable for inducing precognition and clairvoyance such that anyone could obtain on-demand precognitive/clairvoyant visions? It turns out that psi can be experienced in most of these states, although one of them provides particularly good results.   Dreaming The most common and well-known phenomenon is sleep precognition. Most people can experience it if they pay sufficient attention to their dreams. Unfortunately one usually does not have control over these experiences. Moreover, dreams usually introduce distortions, often referred to as symbolism. Different elements of the dreams ...
